JKT Ruvu head coach, Charles Kilinda
The coach mentioned key players who are
nursing various injuries and are ruled out of tomorrow’s clash as
defender George Minja and midfielder duo of Kessy Mapande and Damas
Makwaya.
The coach said his team has prepared well for the match but bemoaned to miss the trio and predicted a tough encounter to endure.
The trio picked up injuries during their
Lake Zone tour of Mwanza and Bukoba to honour premiership fixtures
against Toto Africa and Kagera Sugar, respectively.
While Minja and Makwaya sustained knee injuries, Mapande has a troubled leg.
After seven rounds of play, JKT Ruvu has
collected as many points through winning twice, drawing once and losing
the rest of the matches.
The army side that used to be a team to
reckon with in the premiership is floating in troubled waters while
gazing at the relegation borderline with a narrow one point cushion.
The team lost terribly to all the three league giants Simba, Azam and Young Africans to have a serious wobbly season start.
In related development, Kilinda said his
club has asked Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) to discuss with their
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) counterparts and resolve striker Musa
Hassan Mgosi’s protracted transfer.
Daring Club Motema Pembe is reluctant to
release the former Simba player who joined the DRC team two years ago on
amateur status.
JKT Ruvu have attempted to recruit the
player but the International Transfer Certificate hitch still haunts the
army side and rocks efforts to make use of Mgosi.
Police Morogoro are at the bottom of the standings with two points in seven appearances.
